What is the difference between shared SSL and private SSL?

The shared SSL will use a domain that is not yours, so the web browsers will warn the users about the site's validation. By purchasing a private SSL you will have not this problem as the private SSL will use your domain.

Private SSL is preferred for protecting credit card information for E-Commerce websites. This is because shared SSL warnings make people uncomfortable with submitting their credit card information on your website.
