SSH access :
- SSH access : It provides strong authentication and secure communications over insecure channels.We offer you jailed SSH, which limits access to your account only. Jailed SSH does not alow you to execute commands. It offers a secure access to your files.
- The jailed shell has a virtual filesystem that does not allow access to the processes, so you will not be able see how many processes are running under your account.
- Windows: To access SSH, download WinSCP or PuTTY. Enter your IP address and port 2222; login with your cPanel username and password.
- Linux: To connect run the following command from a terminal:
ssh -p 2222 cpanelusr@ip.add.re.ss
- Mac: To open the terminal in Mac go to Applications → Utilities → Terminal. Then type in the following command:
ssh -p 2222 cpanelusr@ip.add.re.ss
