• Dedicated IP : A dedicated IP (Internet Protocol) is a unique Internet address dedicated exclusively to a single hosting account. Dedicated IP addresses are usually used for large SSL - encrypted secure websites and particularly large and/or traffic-heavy sites.
   
• If you want to sell on line through an on line shop & you wish to take credit card payments you will need an SSL Certificate (SSL stands for Secure Sockets Layer & is the padlock that shows that page is secure).
   
• SSL Certificates also require a dedicated IP address. Please make sure you order a dedicated IP address when ordering a SSL certificate.
